DESCRIPTION:

The Washington County Health Department's Nursing School Health Program is seeking a contractual (no benefits) Health Aide II to work up to 28.0 hours per week. The position will provide illness appraisal and first aid for students and staff, administer medication and perform screenings with supervision. The health assistant and nurse work as a team to provide comprehensive school nursing services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
|
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
|
EXPERIENCE:
|
One year of experience assisting health care professionals in the care of clients in a health setting.
|
LICENSE:
|
Candidates in this classification must possess a current certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
A photocopy of current certificate MUST be attached to the application form (MS-100).
